For what it's worth, 150804 brought some closure for everyone, a sense of calm as the spirit of peace came overeme as we set our flowers down and said our last goodbyes.

I guess we owe this meeting to Zam, for we could not be there when he first left, and i never found the courage to discover where he rested for more than one year.

I remember that day like a series of pictures, freezeframes that will forever be locked within my memories, dream-like sketches that will remind me time and time again not to grieve.

- An over cast sky as three friends stood in solemn silence, quietly contemplating and silently whispering their final goodbyes to a departed friend.

Instead of fighting tears and emotions that was a battle won and lost one year ago, it was an entirely different sensation that swept through me, one of time stopping still; one of reality collapsing on itself as all semblance of logical sequence seem to dissipate - to reveal the truth behind the meeting of the four of us - the 4 of us were old friends, nothing can change that, nothing can take away the years we shared, not even death.

He lives on in our memories, his antics, his dry humour, his cherry outlook of life, his infallible sense of optimism, his generous spirit and even our cherished friendship. But for now, my heart is at peace, for i can finally say to myself, "It is done". I whispered that phrase as the three of us left the original party of four. The resounding bang of metallic car door and the energetic rev of Mike's engine signified an end to another chapter in our lives, one chapter that remained unclosed for so long, even after its due resolution, like a dying comic strip, drawn painfully by the artist to sustain it, moving along but with no emotions, no passion, basically the living dead.

"It is done." Those words resounded and echoes through my subconscious, expelling the cumbersome burden of grieving and regret, granting me for once, relief.

Thank you Zamri for the time we shared, i will never forget SOCKs lol, your favourite nick. I pray you never took my abscence and cowardice to heart for i am deeply sorry. Here's a poem i wrote for you about a year ago.

Farewell

Loving Memory Of Mohd Zamri (11/3/1984 - 21/05/2003)
Sweet farewells,
Sad goodbyes.
Your eyes do tell,
departures are but lies.
Now that you do leave,
a distance you will part.
For you i shall grief,
until a brand new start.
Let so longs come to end,
oh my tired heart.
My blessings i will send,
longingly as you part.

Joey Kum

One goodbye after another, but the good bye of all eternal is the most difficult. I survived it so other cirumstances of farewell would not be as bad.

Fo what it's worth, live goes on.
