Dusting off the blogging gloves, i found myself dusting off a whole other list of things that i had shelved away in my complete believes in love.
I still have my edge, i still do lol.
First it was my dancing shoes. Stepping into MOS, or any club for the matter after almost a year, it certainly felt as though i am the prodigal son returning to my roots. Catharsis, that was what i needed, and MOS was the place to go for such healing. But first, a change in hair colour ;)
For all those who noticed, my hair is now a cool chestnut brown with a streak of ash to boot. A new look for a new beginning, just what i needed to pick up the pieces. The pieces of my broken heart that is.
It was a friday, one of those fridays that if spent at home would probably be spent dwelling in memories past and love lost. So why stay home? so i made an appointment with mum and on came the long awaited change of hair colour that i had put aside since my unfettering mid 2005. Here's one at conscription and another in gusto for coolness. Looking at myself in the mirror, i found someone who i have not seen in almost a year, someone who i was almost certain to have put away for good in the name of love. Welcome back Joey. We missed you. I missed you.
The days of sensory indulgence is back and the welcome sight of the typical que outside a club stirred nostalgia as i recalled the days when i used to cross my fingers in hope that the bouncer wont check my id. I breezed right through this one, into a lucious white hall peppered with countless hanging lights that shone with subtle beauty of the aurora in the eastern night sky. At last i thought to myself, what have i been missing? The gentle thumping of music beyond the hall beckoned and a new chapter has begin to write itself.
Meeting up with Jeff, Keni, Colin and Tessa could not come at a better time. Friends that had went through thick and thin, relationships that had weathered the tests of time, ties which i have neglected for the year of 2005. The rest is history as i strolled through the various themed halls and strolled into a place called Pure which i instantly fell in love with. The wine and music after gently eased my transition from a hopeless romantic, into a joyful swinging single. No phonecalls to make, to smses i am obliged to reply. The rest is histoy. Alcohol, the dance of life and an inverse bungee ride that should have never been. But all in the name of good fun. It has been ages since i truly lived, and my my was it a fantastic welcome back entourage.
Memories, are all i have. Yesterdays dont matter, they just lead up to what is important, tomorrow. Today healing, tomorrow to take over the world. How shall i begin?
