A Collection of Morbid Love Stories
The Soldier and Poet
Once upon a time, there was a gallant soldier who pledged eight seasons in servitude to an uncaring nation. Upon his shoulders he carried one cross, the weight of love in his green haversack. He left his heart in the city with beautiful Poet who once taught him to write with his rifle arm. Transient was the magic but the seeds of poetry and innocence soon blossomed like Sakuras. But it was not to be, war came and with his shield and sword, the soldier carried a chapbook of his poetry to his bitter end. The war ended but the soldier never came back. Only a bloodied book of love poetry.
