No that my final assignment is over, i can spend more time on works that delight me, here's one in response to Elvenlight's Coral Sea.
Blue Coral Sea
The distant ocean plane grays gradually,
As i ponder the tranquility and white purity of sorrow.
Upon my face, my countenance embraces shallow helplessness.
Your lips pronounces your departure,
An absent heart,
As timely gradually slows silently.
The turbulent tide cries out tears of sorrow,
not cries of an open sea, but an oceanic melancholy.
Stay not your steps to go,
hold back not your unspoken words.
Goodbyes are voiceless,
when a gull and fish falls in love,
a mere accident.
Our love as it was expressed,
fragmented and splintered.
like dust in the wind,
culminating in winsome sorrow.
Stay not your steps to go,
hold back not your unspoken words.
Goodbyes are voiceless,
under the clear skies of the blue coral sea.
Reminiscing of transient colours,
where both souls young and innocent,
this moment forever lost,
where present smiles forced facades,
as our love is deeply buried,
beneath the Blue Coral Sea.
Sandcastles once dashed remain fallen,
Fissures and faults betray any healing.
No love can seal these wounds,
which like a shooting star,
escaping our speed of thought.
Beneath the shell unspoken expectation,
lie in wait for a summer blossom,
where we settle no less than affirmation,
as we stood before the ocean's breath,
which salts our ocean love,
where the taste of our future does not lie.
